Thoughtful Treating
Wild Studio partnered with Ferrero and The Times to create a vibrant branded content video, exploring the fascinating science of taste. This engaging animation delves into how our senses interact when we experience the joy of chocolate. With the help of Barry Smith, a sensory scientist, Wild transformed complex science into an accessible, visually captivating story around Ferrero thoughtful treating.
To achieve this, Wild brought on illustrator Tommy Parker, whose beautiful character designs added a playful touch to the animation. Each character represents one of the senses—taste, touch, and smell—with exaggerated, distinctive features that make each sense easy to identify. For instance, touch is represented with sensitive fingertips, while smell has an enlarged nose. This clever exaggeration helped Wild visually emphasize each sense’s unique role in flavor perception.

From concept to final delivery, Wild focused on making this explainer video visually appealing and scientifically informative. By balancing aesthetics with expert-led narrative, Wild turned the science of taste into an experience that viewers can enjoy. This project not only reflects Wild Studio’s creativity but also their dedication to translating complex ideas into compelling stories. The Ferrero thoughtful treating collaboration showcases Wild’s ability to blend artistic illustration, engaging narrative, and scientific accuracy, delivering a video that resonates with both chocolate lovers and curious minds.
